The SHA2017 CTF Teaser Round is over! Congrats Eat, Sleep, Pwn, Repeat with the 1st place! Thanks to all the teams that participated. Hopefully we will see you back on the CTF in August!

  • All flags will have the layout of flag{MD5} and are case insensitive.
  • During the CTF the registration page will stay open for any teams who want to join after the CTF started.
  • SHA2017 CTF is a Jeopardy style CTF, there is no need to set up VPN environment.
  • There is no limit in the number of people participating per team. You only need one registration per team.
  • Sharing flags or solutions is prohibited. This action is subject to disqualification.
  • Attacking machines other than designated SHA2017 CTF machines is strictly prohibited.
  • If you are sure that you have the valid flag but the system rejects it, please contact us.
  • If you find any bug in the CTF environment, please report it to us.
  • If you are not sure if something is a violation of the rules, ask us!
  • SHA2017 CTF will not contain any bonus points.
  • Brute forcing against the SHA2017 CTF infra is not allowed.
  • Using webscanners such as Nikto, Nessus or Dirbuster will not help you solve the challenges.
  • If any cracking is needed this can be done well within an hour on a standard PC.
  • There will be no Trivia questions or 4 hour Google recon sessions.
  • There will be no hidden challenges.

  • All challenges will be opened at the start of the SHA2017 CTF Teaser round
  • The SHA2017 CTF Teaser will take place on the 10th of June 2017 from 14:00 - 22:00 (CEST) (12:00 - 20:00 UTC)
  • The SHA2017 CTF Teaser round will contain 6 challenges in multiple categories ranking in different weights
  • The prize for the first team to solve all challenge is 4 tickets for SHA2017, sponsored by SHA2017!
  • In the case that no team solves all challenges, the team with the highest score at the end of the teaser round wins the tickets
  • In order to claim the prize, write-ups will be required for the challenges solved
  • Any team without a valid mail-address is not eligible for the prize
  • Any team found to be cheating is not eligible for the prize
  • Hacking the scoreboard or CTF environment is impressive, but also will not be eligible for the prize
